American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) has partnered with Molecular Connections (MC) to develop a personalised author keyword suggestion system in order to identify the best contextually relevant terms and keywords for author submitted manuscripts.
This is a critical step in the publishing process where upstream, the author is allowed to enter their own keywords from a list of relevant keywords suggested by Molecular Connections’ award winning machine learning module, fully customised to AIAA’s content portfolio.
Speaking on the occasion, Michele Dominiak, Managing Director, Publications, AIAA mentioned: “The author tagging tool developed by Molecular Connections’ is another example of how AIAA continues to collaborate with its authors to ensure their content is discoverable. MC’s in-depth understanding of AIAA’s content and their expertise in developing accurate ontologies, enabled AIAA to launch this personalized solution, including integration with ScholarOne Manuscripts, in less than 6 months”
Mr. Jignesh Bhate, Founder & CEO at MC commented: “apart from enhancing author experience, the solution generates high quality metadata upfront, improving discoverability, content recommendation and standardisation across all AIAA content assets, while ensuring no disruptions to the ongoing workflow. We look forward to collaboratively launching more such tools and new products for AIAA”
Molecular Connections precision keyword generation algorithm is premeditated to continually improve the assignment of auto-generated keywords, ingest feedback from the author real-time, learn and cater to other keyword assignment considerations as part of an extensive active decision tree. The tool developed is highly efficient and is backed with an intelligent workflow component to aid better discoverability of content for AIAA, alongside enhancing author experience for AIAA.
